Green Port Master Plan
SUSTAINABILITY
The Green Port Master Plan (2019-2023) has been developed and describes the approach and activities that Fiji Ports will implement over the period to reduce its environmental impact. This masterplan is independent from but aligns with the 5-Year Strategic Plan and will assist with Fiji Ports to contribute towards the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Implementation Methodology
In-line with this plan, Fiji Ports launched its first Carbon Neutral Facility early 2021 which was specially constructed with efficient use of resources and equipped with a solar power systems. Fiji Ports aims to reduce its energy consumption, air pollution, water pollution, environmental pollution and its carbon footprint. This demonstrates Fiji Ports’ commitment and responsibility in the use and protection of the natural environment through active participation in sustainable practices.
