Fiji Ports is the Port Management Company in Fiji and also plays a regulatory role in maintaining standards relating to Ports of Entry and other local ports throughout Fiji. Fiji Ports provides primary regulatory oversight for Ports of Suva, Lautoka, Levuka, Vuda, Malau, Rotuma and Wairiki.

Under the Sea Port Management Act, Fiji Ports’ key role is to:

  • To effectively manage sea ports.
  • To do anything in relation to the provision of services within a port and the approaches to a port, including the services for which rates may be charged under the Act.
  • Issue Port User Licenses.
  • To assist the functions of the Port Masters, Port state control officers and shipping inspectors.
  • Make rules regulating the use and operation of Ports and approaches to Ports.

As a landlord port, Fiji Ports also provides following functions:

    • Port Security & Safety Management
    • Vessel Traffic Services & Anchorage
    • Tug Operations
    • Dredging
    • Mooring Services
    • Repair & Maintenance of Infrastructure
